• You must complete a teacher preparation program in elementary education from a board-approved educator preparation program, or from an accredited institution offering substantially similar training

Each of the following items requires three semester hours, or 45 hours of experience:

• AZ teachers must also have a course in the Arizona Constitution and U.S. 宪法, as well as three semester hours in each of the following: phonics, 难语症, and ethics (applicants that do not meet this requirement have three years to do so)
